Inspiring Learners

Mount Olive School is a private Christian K–12 learning community that blends leadership education, classical academics, Montessori principles, and personalized instruction to prepare students to become principled leaders and pursue their life missions.

Our Approach

We blend:

  • Classical foundations in history, literature, and rhetoric
  • Montessori principles such as independence, responsibility, and prepared environments
  • Direct academic instruction in math, history, science, and language arts
  • Socratic discussion and project-based learning
  • Christian worldview and spiritual formation, integrating biblical truth across subjects and encouraging students to develop character, discernment, and faith in action

Students are both supported and challenged—academically, intellectually, personally, and spiritually.

A Whole-Person, Phase-Based Education

Mount Olive School serves students in Kindergarten through 12th grade through a phase-based model of learning rooted in Leadership Education. We recognize that children learn differently at different stages of development and structure our classrooms accordingly.

Core & Love of Learning Phases (Elementary Years)

Emphasis on curiosity, hands-on discovery, foundational skills, character formation, and joyful engagement with learning. Students build strong literacy and numeracy foundations while cultivating independence, responsibility, and a love of learning.

Pre-Scholar & Scholar Phases (Middle & High School)

Increasing academic rigor, structured discussion, independent study, research, writing, and leadership development. Students are mentored toward ownership of their education and preparation for future scholarship, vocation, and life mission.

Our Programs

Morning Academic Block

Our morning program focuses on core academics including mathematics, language arts, history, and science. Instruction is structured, academically rigorous, and personalized to student readiness and phase of learning.

Full day

Students who enroll in the full-day program continue into electives, project-based learning, hands-on labs, fine arts, outdoor education, and mentorship experiences that deepen both scholarship and character.

About Us

Mount Olive School was founded by homeschool mothers who have spent years mentoring students, leading microschool communities, and walking closely with families in their educational journeys.

Through that experience, we saw something important: children flourish when learning is personal and purposeful — but they also benefit from structure, clear expectations, and academic rigor.

We witnessed the beauty of individualized pacing, rich discussions, hands-on projects, and strong family partnership. We also recognized the need for consistent systems, disciplined scholarship, and a learning environment that steadily prepares students for adulthood.

So we built what we were looking for.

Mount Olive integrates the strengths of homeschool education — flexibility, personalization, meaningful mentorship — with the stability and structure of a traditional school setting. The result is a small, intentional K–12 learning community designed to cultivate both character and competence.

We are deeply passionate about education. We believe the world does not simply need more graduates — it needs principled thinkers, capable builders, and thoughtful statesmen. Education should prepare young people not only to earn a living, but to lead well in their homes, communities, and future callings.

As our own children have grown toward independence, we found ourselves ready to share what we have learned. Mount Olive School is the next chapter of that calling — a place where our experience, conviction, and love of learning are extended to other families seeking something different.
